Celeb couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have just purchased a $14.2 million mansion in Montecito, California! The new parents (they welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, in August) have found the ideal home to start their family. The circa-1934 estate consists of four separate compounds, nine acres of manicured grounds and ocean views as far as the eye can see. Scroll through to explore this lavish property fit for the Grammy-nominated singer and A-list actor!
Built and designed by Edwards and Plunkett, the three-story Mediterranean-style villa was later renovated by architect Lutah Maria Riggs, who was the first woman to ever be named a Fellow of the
American Institute of Architects.
There’s plenty of room for Daisy Dove to learn how to walk and play on the manicured lawns.
The property was originally listed last spring for nearly $20 million and reduced to $16 million before it was finally purchased by Katy and Orlando at just over $14 million.
There’s also a detached four-car garage with a powder room, a guesthouse equipped with a full kitchen, bedroom, office and living-dining space, and a pool house.
The main villa welcomes guests with a large oak tree-lined gravel driveway, plenty of lush greenery and a water fountain.
Just off the kitchen is an outdoor dining area with sweeping views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. Imagine enjoying your breakfast out there? The dream!
The living room includes five sets of French doors (only four are pictured here) that open to a large outdoor terrace.
Outdoor seating is shaded by large ancient oaks and provide plenty of room for alfresco dining.
The den features the same French doors as the living room, but they open to a separate patio. A fireplace and small bar turn the space into an entertaining-friendly hub for their A-list friends.
The principal bedroom fills more than half of the upstairs level and includes a fireplace, sitting area, dual bathrooms, a large dressing room
and a separate walk-in closet.
Accompanying the principal bedroom is a private balcony that overlooks the entire property. You can practically smell the ocean air!
The home was kept quite neutral, but this will likely change when Katy — who is quite fond of over-the-top color and pattern — moves in.
On the lower floor, a private office and conference room can be found. Perfect for signing million dollar movie deals, no?
Unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean can be enjoyed from most points of the property.
Another angle shows the outdoor terrace area just off of the main floor. A field of lush grass is the perfect place for Daisy Dove to play.
Hidden in the back of the main house is a gorgeous swimming pool surrounded by manicured hedges and large shady trees.
The pool house boasts two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, so plenty of extra space for guests.
Plenty of comfy lounge chairs are available for soaking up the sun.
Another amenity found on the property is a full-sized tennis court.
